In December 2005, Petronect obtained from Bureau Veritas Certification, the Statement of Confidentiality for Vendors Bids submission through Petronect Portal, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the ISO 17050-1. This certification attests the secrecy of bids submitted by vendors through Petronect Portal, guaranteeing that those quotes can not be accessed by anyone except the responsible buyer until the end of the bidding period.

Greater Agility

Using the Petronect Portal, all procurement transactions instead of using paper, envelopes and the physical sending, become electronic. Also, due to the integration of the Portal and other Petrobras Group internal systems (SAP ECC and R/3), there is a reduction of manual interfaces between systems, speeding up the purchasing process to all users.

Cost Reduction

Petrobras reduces the operational costs substituting the traditional purchase process that uses paper by the digital environment. Vendors can reduce travel costs and quote printing.

Traceability Process

The system allows the tracking of documents and actions done in a bid invitation done in the portal. Petronect Portal allows buyers to access the bid invitation history and also to vendors access their bid invitation historic.

Petronect provides support to both Petrobras and Vendors users, in Brazil, United States and other countries in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Companies and Units of Petrobras Group are responsible for the definition of commercial rules that are accepted in the Petronect Portal.
