Opportunity 7004433974 -
Supply of a Floating Producion Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit for the Búzios 12 Project
The submission of proposals for opportunity No. 7004433974, which provides for the contracting of the FPSO Búzios 12 (P-91), has been extended until 09/09/2026. The FPSO will be installed in the Búzios field, in the Santos Basin (RJ). The Búzios Field includes the participation of the Chinese state-owned companies CNPC (3.67%) and CNOOC (7.34%), while Petrobras maintains the majority operation, with an 88.99% stake.
With the capacity to produce up to 180 thousand barrels of oil per day and 12 million m³ of natural gas per day, the unit will be connected to 16 wells (eight producers and eight injectors alternating water and gas). It will also operate as a natural gas export hub, receiving volumes from other platforms in the field and sending them, via the Rota 3 gas pipeline, to the Boaventura Energy Complex in Itaboraí (RJ). The new platform will play a strategic role in expanding national oil and natural gas production, reinforcing the company’s relevance in Brazil’s energy supply.
The contracting process will follow the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, under which the selected company will be responsible for the design, construction, assembly, and initial operation of the unit, prior to its definitive transfer to Petrobras. Companies interested in participating in the Búzios 12 contracting process may submit their proposals until 09/09/2026, through the Petronect Portal. The Request for Proposal Submission (RPS) establishes a minimum local content requirement of 25%, strengthening the Brazilian production chain.
