Opportunity 7004433974 -
Supply of a Floating Producion Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit for the Búzios 12 Project
Petrobras has published opportunity No. 7004433974 for the contracting of the FPSO Búzios 12 (P-91), which will be installed in the Búzios field, in the Santos Basin (RJ). The Búzios field includes the participation of Chinese state-owned companies CNPC (3.67%) and CNOOC (7.34%), while Petrobras remains the majority operator with an 88.99% stake.
With the capacity to produce up to 180,000 barrels of oil per day and 12 million m³ of natural gas per day, the unit will be connected to 16 wells (eight producers and eight alternating water and gas injectors). It will also operate as a natural gas export hub, receiving volumes from other platforms in the field and sending them, through the Rota 3 pipeline, to the Boaventura Energy Complex in Itaboraí (RJ). The new platform will play a strategic role in expanding national oil and natural gas production, reinforcing the company’s relevance in Brazil’s energy supply.
The contracting will be carried out under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, in which the selected company will be responsible for the design, construction, assembly, and initial operation of the unit, before its definitive transfer to Petrobras. Companies interested in participating in the Búzios 12 contracting process will have a 180-day deadline, starting from the publication of the Request for Proposal (RFP), to submit their proposals. Proposal submissions are scheduled for the period from 02/02/26 to 04/01/26, through the Petronect Portal. The RFP establishes a minimum local content of 25%, strengthening the Brazilian supply chain.
